JANE RAWLINS MELTON
A LIFE WELL LIVED
1932-2021
 
  Jane Rawlins Melton went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, April 1, 2021. She was born April 12, 1932 in Bartlesville, OK to Edwin Lee and Edna Rawlins. After graduating from LSU in 1953, Jane married the love of her life, Joseph Earl Melton and enjoyed 60 years of a blessed and beautiful marriage.
  Jane was preceded in death by her husband Earl, her parents, Eddie and Edna, and her sister, Carol Moore. She is survived by her children, Lynn Koonce(Gary), Lee Melton(Peggy), Lisa New(Brad), Libba Maddry(Mike) and Maya Salgado, seventeen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
  ‘Wonder-Jane’ lived out a true servant’s heart, faithfully caring for all. She possessed a contagious smile and maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many.
  Dear to her heart were serving her Lord, loving her family and friends, studying scripture, enjoying God’s creation, creating beauty herself, The Red Door Ministry, Young Life and BSF.
