Jane's obituary
Jane was born in Rock Island, IL. She was raised and graduated in Moline, IL. She held many assorted jobs during her life, and all of them made for great stories. She raised and trained winning Standard Bred Harness Racing Horses, helped a friend repo cars, worked in a star-filled bowling alley, worked as a non-boring accountant at the Tootsie Roll Factory, drove tractor trailers filled with ink and milk, and ferried train engineers. She dedicated her non-working time to the computer gaming communities that she moderated, animal rescue, and work with the local food bank.
Jane loved people and knew how to be an amazing friend. She had a vivacious personality and always made the people around her laugh with a story or a joke. She gave her time, wisdom, and love unselfishly to those people who were lucky enough to have her friendship. She built and maintained strong friendships that lasted years, even with people that she wasn't able to see regularly - or meet face to face at all.
Jane is survived by her husband, Erik David Hance; sister-in-law, Gena Smith; father-in-law, Milton Smith; sister-in-law Michelle Ippolito; nephews Andrew and Micheal Ippolito; and niece Dimitra Ippolito. She is also survived by a large community of friends who were an integral part of her life.
