JANA MARIE DARLING

9/10/1968 - 4/27/2022

Jana grew up in Huntington Beach, CA where she attended Ocean View High School. Jana enjoyed sports and was very athletic. She played soccer, track, and softball. In 1988, her family moved to Bakersfield, CA where she attended Bakersfield College. She shared her love of sports with family and friends, taking on the role of coach and mentor for her niece’s softball teams for many years with Bakersfield Bobby Sox. She was an avid music lover – a rockstar musician and beautiful songwriter. Her bands, Room 19 and Tanglefoot, were a dream come true for her. Jana’s voice was truly a gift and one of a kind. Recently, she enjoyed sharing her love of the guitar with her great nephews who are learning to play.

Jana was preceded in death by her father Gail D. Darling. She is survived by her mother Shirley Darling, twin brother Jeff and wife Kristen, sister Jennifer and husband Keith Kangas. She has several nieces and nephews, and numerous great nieces and nephews.
