Jan's obituary
Jan Ottens is a man defined by his remarkable life journey, his calm strength, fierce loyalty, and quiet generosity. Naturally eloquent, he did not, however, need to say much to lead or to bring comfort. His gift was precisely that compass to guide us through the best and the worst of times.
Jan offered support freely, without conditions, expectations, or judgment. His steady, reassuring presence inspired us to be better, simply by being near him. Jan always strived to leave every place, every moment, and every person better than he found them. That is the essence of his legacy – something that his family and all who loved him will carry forward.
