Jan M. Gebert, 73, of Easton, PA passed away Thursday, June 13th, at her residence.  

Jan was born in Easton, PA on July 10, 1950, a daughter of the late Leroy G. and Betty Mae (Flick) Ziegenfuss.

She was the wife of Bob Gebert. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this coming August.

Jan was a 1968 graduate of Phillipsburg High School, a 1972 graduate of Montclair State University, and received her Master's Degree from Lehigh University.  She was employed as a Math Teacher,  for 50-plus years teaching at Warren Hill Middle School and High School until retiring in 2023. She also taught at Bangor High School, and Pius X High School, and was an adjunct Professor at East Stroudsburg University.

Jan enjoyed gardening, basket weaving, cooking, hiking, and skiing, and was a wonderful seamstress.

In addition to her husband, Bob, Jan is survived by two sons, Chris Gebert and Dave Gebert, a sister, Karen Berger, a brother, Jim Ziegenfuss, and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Plainfield Township Volunteer Fire Company, 64 Sulivan Trail A, Wind Gap, PA 18091.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., "Village of Johnsonville", Bangor, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society, ASPCA, Audubon Society, or any of the many other charities Jan supported.
