My condolences to Elijah and the family and friends of Jamil. Jamil, may your beautiful soul rest in peace.

May we discover through pain and torment, the strength to live with grace and humor.

May we discover through doubt and anguish, the strength to live with dignity and holiness.

May we discover through suffering and fear, the strength to move toward healing.

May it come to pass that we be restored to health and to vigor.  May life grant us wellness of body, spirit, and mind.

And if this cannot be so, may we find in this transformation and passage moments of meaning, opportunities for love and the deep and gracious calm that comes when we allow ourselves to move on.

My condolences for the passing of Jamil. I was Jamil’s manager in the early 90’s. He was hard working but full of life and a joy to be around. Jamil is a true loss and will be missed.

I am so sorry to learn of this news. I knew Jamil when I lived in DC and can still hear his laugh and see his smile. He was a source of light. Sending my heartfelt condolences to Jamil's family and friends... may you find peace and joy in his memory.

I offer deepest sympathies to the family and many friends of Jamil Luckett. Jamil was an affable guy who never met a stranger. Always dapper, he set the tone for the gentlemen wherever he went.  I met him when we both started our careers on the West Coast where he loved to live and recreate. I feel tremendously blessed to have known him. Best to you as you celebrate his life. May you enjoy and share happy memories! Paul Garrison
