Jamil was preceded in death by his mother Shanice Dawkins. He is survived by his father, Dudley Hackett; his siblings, Jason Hackett, Alicia Hackett, Marcus Hackett, Tiana Hackett; Wife, Renee Hackett; and children, James, Jalissa and Jamil Jr. Hackett. Each carries a different piece of his story—moments of laughter, lessons learned, and the comfort of knowing how deeply he cared.
