Jamie's obituary

 Jamie Lee Collier 69 of Three Rivers formally of Middlebury, Indiana passed peacefully at 1:50 pm on January 25, 2023 at Centrica Rose Arbor in Kalamazoo surrounded by her family. Jamie was born on April 11, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois. The daughter of Charlotte C (Collier) and Robert L Jackson.

Jamie attended Mendon High school before moving to Amarillo, Texas where she graduated from Amarillo High School in 1971. Jamie received her CNA certification after graduation and worked at the Amarillo Hospital until 1975. Jamie was also employed by Fairview Nursing home in Centreville. She later retired from Lozier Store fixture of Middlebury, Indiana formally Syndicate Store Fixtures.

Jamie’s greatest passion was her family, her friends and her cat Zero. Jamie enjoyed her time with her friends at COA playing games like Bingo and hand and foot. Laughing and reminiscing about younger days with her sisters. Watching with a proud gleam in her eye as her grandchildren and great grandchildren achieve each new goal, as she knew she helped shape those precious lives and they are her legacy. Jamie also loved feeding and watching birds. Their beauty brought her such joy.

Jamie is survived by her father Robert (Dixie) Jackson, her daughter Dawn (Brian) Quirin, son Lee (Laurie) Manson, 6 Grandchildren: Michal (Olivia) Kemp, Chantelle (Matthew) Rankin, Logan (Kayla) Quirin, Tyler (Erica) Dearduff, Matthew (Jennifer) Quirin, and Michael Manson. 6 great grandchildren Thea, Braxton, Lilyann, Korra, Liam, and Colton. 2 sisters; Lena (Jeff) Fitch, and Wanda Manson. 2 brothers; Allen (Elaine) Hunefeld and Frank (Debbie) Jackson many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jamie was preceded in death by her mother Charlotte Jackson, grandmother Lena Bennett, and 3 brothers Robert, Michael and Daniel Jackson.

In 2006 Jamie was gifted a new heart. The gift coming from her place of birth, Chicago, Ill. Jamie and her family will forever be grateful for the extra years they were able to share additional laughter and love. This gift of Life meant so much to Jamie that in accordance with her wishes, upon her death, Jamie became a full body donor.

A Service to honor Jamie will be held at Bridges Community Church 27570 Marvin Rd. Centreville, Mi. on Saturday, January 28th  from 3-7 pm.

Memorial donations in Jamie’s honor may be directed to her family.
