Jamie's obituary

Jamie Letoa Capps, 33, of Lexington, NC passed away on the 5th of November, 2023 at Hinkle Hospice of Davidson County. Jamie was born on the 18th of June, 1990, in High Point, NC and enjoyed a life full of love, joy, and memories.

Jamie is preceded in death by her grandparents, Margaret & Leo Smith and her aunt Linda Mills.

Jamie has an extensive and loving family who will miss her dearly. She is survived by her husband, Mark Capps; her children, Isreal Smith, Kaitlyn Capps, Dakota Capps, and Jimmy Capps; her step-children, Jennie Heilig (Jaren) and Timothy Capps (Melissa); 8 grandchildren and one on the way; her grandparents, Al & Grace Malson; her parents, Penny and Al Malson; her sisters, Angel Wright (Lane) & Denise Smith; her brother, Billy Smith; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Jamie, also known as Jay, was a vibrant and lively individual who cherished her role as a mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, niece, cousin and friend. Anyone who was fortunate enough to know Jamie knew that her love for her children was evident in everything she did. She loved making memories with her children whether it be at the lake or a creek down the street. She imparted a sense of joy and adventure that will continue to live on through them. Some of her happiest memories were spent at the lake or just hanging out with family in general.

Jamie was a fan of simple pleasures. She liked the New England Patriots and the television show, Hardcore Pawn, and loved the movie Con Air. Jamie was also known for her love of her sister's parmesan crusted chicken.

Jamie was a force of nature and will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. She made an unforgettable impact on the lives of all those she touched and her memory will continue to be celebrated by all those who were fortunate to be a part of her life.

A memorial service will be determined at a later date.
