Jim's obituary

James Douglas “Jim” Wormald. Jim was born on September 11th, 1965 in Akron, Ohio and passed away peacefully while surrounded by loved ones on August 27th, 2021.

Jim graduated from Lake High School in 1983. He later graduated from Malone College on May 9th, 2015. 

He was an avid bowler and had six rings to commemorate his skills. He was proud of the four “300 rings” he was awarded. 

 Family always came first in Jim’s life. He is survived by his father Russell Wormald and his mother Judy Abrams as well as his stepfather Dick Abrams. He is also survived by his wife Gayle, with whom he had just celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary, and their kids Alexandra, Cameron, Kendall, and Roman. In addition, he is survived by a first generation of children including Megan Wormald (Ariana) and grandson Lucas, Jessica Haupt (Ryan) and grandsons Jonah and Ross, and Scott Wormald (Sam Yetsick). Jim is also survived by his sister Susan Roy (Brad) and her family as well as his brother Michael (Jodi Brooks) and his family. Jim will be dearly missed by many additional family members and friends. 

Jim's family would like to extend a big thank you to the doctors that have cared for him over the past couple of years especially Dr. Andrew Haas, Dr. Brian Donelan, and Dr. Michael Derubeis for their diligent care. 

 Information regarding a celebrations of Jim’s life will be posted at a later date.
