It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Larry Whitworth on May 28, 2024. Born on June 30, 1950, to the late Jake and Pauline Whitworth, Larry was a quiet, gentle, and kind-hearted man, best described as patient beyond measure.
Larry leaves behind his loving wife, Sue Whitworth, along with his children Sheila Monroe, James Larry Whitworth Jr., Angel Forrester, Starr Fortner, Michael Whitworth, and Lukus Whitworth. He was predeceased by his son, Son Whitworth. Larry was a proud grandfather to Korina Gill, Jeffrey Monroe, Juliana Bennett, Jayme Stallcup, Jake Whitworth, Lhea Glover, Tucker Risner, Brittney Fortner, Bradley Fortner, Brady Fortner, and James Whitworth 2nd.
He is also survived by his brother, Kenny Whitworth, and predeceased by his siblings, Bill Whitworth, Junior Whitworth, Barbara Motes, Keith Whitworth, and Ronnie Whitworth.
Larry was deeply respected and admired for his accomplishments in law enforcement, where he served as an honored Police Officer for 29 years. Beyond his professional life, Larry’s ' true legacy lies in the love and respect he instilled in his family. A loving husband, kind father, doting grandfather, caring brother, and thoughtful uncle, Larry shaped the lives of his family members in ways that will never be forgotten.
Funeral services for Larry will be held on June 2, 2024, at Mc Daniel Funeral Services Inc. at Senath, Mo. Viewings will be held at 11:00 AM-12:00 PM for the immediate family and 12:00-2:00 PM for the general public followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM.
