James Allen Timmons was a lifelong learner, hard worker, mentor and most importantly, an exemplary father and family man. James called Rancho Santa Margarita, California his home for 27 years, but was originally born and raised in Canton, Ohio. James unexpectedly departed this Earth on March 25th, 2023. James was welcomed home to God surrounded by his beautiful wife, Patricia and their three children Michael, Jeffrey, and Kristina, along with his many beloved nine grandchildren. James was born on March 2nd, 1947 to parents Olga and Harry. James is survived by sister, Roberta Gardon, who lives in Saint George, Utah. He proudly served in the Army during the Vietnam war. James always dreamed of being a teacher. Despite not going on to receive his college education, James did achieve his dream. James studied everything he could get his hands on. James was nicknamed “The Wizard” during his deployment regarding his vast expertise in technology. James not only aided our country, but commandeered numerous companies to their victory with his knowledge and commitment. James truly was a teacher to all that had the privilege to know him. James was the most proud of his family. James embodied how to be an extraordinary person every single day of his life. He was the most devoted and doting husband to his wife of 55 years, Patricia. Together, James and Patricia raised three extraordinarily talented children. All of them idolized their father. James emphasized the importance of traditional values. He raised his children and grandchildren to be examples of the good in this crazy world. James ensured everyone he encountered felt loved, special, heard, and important. One of James’s special characteristics was his intelligence. James was very proud of his open-minded nature. There was nothing he was fully sold on. He always said to “question everything!” He was notorious for thinking outside the box. A funeral service for James will be held on April 28th, 2023 at The American Legion Newport Harbor Post 291 at 11:30 AM. 215 15th Street Newport Beach, California 92663. We encourage you to share stories, photos, and memories to commemorate James. Thank you on behalf of the Timmons Family.
