James Derrell Thigpen, Sr., age 74, passed away Monday, December 22, 2014 at the Community Hospice Inpatient Center. The Montgomery County native had lived in Reidsville until moving to Lyons in 1981. He was a 1958 graduate of Reidsville High School. Derrell retired from the Georgia Army National Guard as a Major, Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear Plant and the IBEW Local #508. He was a member of the Rising Sun Lodge #32, the Vidalia …
