James's obituary
We mournfully announce the passing of James (Jimbo) H. Stogner, 40, of Apopka Florida. James passed away on March 13th 2022, after a hard fought battle with cancer.
James was born on March 16, 1981 in Lubbock, Texas. He is the son of Tamara Rawls and the late James A. Stogner. He had the privilege of being raised by the late James Rory Scroggins, whom he considered his father figure in life.
James was a force to be reckoned with from the get go, graduating from Edgewater High School in 1999. He pursued a career in music and music production. He was the owner of Southern Mudd Records and produced two albums, 'Jimbo Under Pressure' and 'Deadman Walking'.
In 2008 James life took a drastic turn after he survived an automobile accident that resulted in him being a large and small intestinal transplant recipient that gave him another 13 years of life. He was an avid supporter of organ donating and transplant organizations. James was also a passionate artist and could often be found in his home studio painting.
In 2012 James's son Jaxson Stogner was born. His son meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of Jaxson and always tried his best to support him. While James never married, he lived a full and vibrant life with more friends and family than you could count.
Besides his son Jaxson Stogner, he is survived by his mother, Tamara Rawls, his sister Donna Watts his brother in law Mark Watts, his niece Autumn Stallman and her two sons JJ and Jamison, his nephew Blane Vigor, his sister Holly Vicens, his niece Kiara Mertens and her daughter Mylee, his nephews Travis Jr. and Jason Hutchinson, his grandmother Bonnie Frank, his Aunts & Uncles Lynette Berg and Robert Busbee, Kimberly and Gerald Webb, Peggy and Lance Godshalk, Jami and Bruce Moore, William Williamham and Melissa Myers and many loving cousins and friends. We will miss him dearly.
Services will be held at the Garden Theatre located at 160 West Plant Street, Winter Garden FL 34787 on Sunday March 20th at 1:30pm. There is a parking garage with free parking behind the venue. Doors will open at 1:00pm and services will start promptly at 1:30pm with a burial immediately following at 4:00pm at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Rd., Gotha FL 34734.
A Celebration of life will follow at 5:00pm at Jimmy's home 504 W Kelly Park Road, Apopka FL 32712. BYOB. Seating may be limited so you may want to bring a foldout chair.
