James's obituary

James Earl Sorrell passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at the age of 58. James was born in West Bend, WI. He was a resident of Schertz, TX for the last 52 years. James graduated from Samuel Clemens High School in 1983. He went on to earn his degree in electronics from San Antonio College in 1987.

In his spare time, he enjoyed photography, scouting, woodworking, and being outdoors. He became a Boy Scout in 1975 and would go on to earn Eagle Scout, the highest scouting honor, in 1981. For over 48 years, he dedicated his service to Boy Scouts of America and their Venturing Program. James volunteered throughout the community, including hosting an annual haunted house at the local mall to raise money for the Santa Rosa Children's Hospital.

James is preceded in death by his father, Walter E. Sorrell.

James is loved and missed by his mother: Beverly Sorrell, siblings: Shirley Islas and Susan Locke; along with his nieces, nephews, and grand nieces.
