James Arthur “Brutt” Shuler, 65, of Saint Matthews, South Carolina, entered eternal rest Thursday, August 1, 2019. He was born in Cameron, South Carolina, March 16, 1954, to David Lee and Wilhelmenia “Tenell” Shuler. James was educated in Calhoun County and is a 1974 graduate of Saint John High School.

James was a dedicated employee of Husqavarna Yard Products for 28 years before retiring in 2015. For the last 14 years, he was the most loyal and trusted driver for the Southeastern Float Company. Combining his love of driving, travelling, and socializing, he participated in over 600 parades all across America bringing joy and happiness to thousands of people. He was the true number one driver for the team.

Dependable and kindhearted, “Brutt” was a phenomenal father, brother, son, uncle, and friend. He enjoyed nothing more than being with and around his family and friends, fishing, and playing cards.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 40 years, Betty; sons: Eric, James Delvon, Vincent, and Jordan; grandchildren: Asia, Ty, Darius, Kamryn, and Jada; 6 brothers: John, Richard, Joe, Willie, Lonnie, and Danny; 4 sisters: Minnie, Shirley, Janet, and Carol; an aunt, Mary; best friends Anthony and Denver, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
