The unexpected passing of my remaining older brother, Jim, has created much sadness. Jim was one of my three older brothers who I always tried to follow and emulate when I was a girl. Whether it was playing baseball, exploring, playing hide and seek in the neighborhood in Flagstaff, or wanting to sneak the car out when our mother didn’t know, Jim kept an eye on me. Jim and I were alike in many ways and therefore had the most challenging times too. As we grew older, we learned to appreciate one another and to be able to talk about our respective families, our thoughts on what’s going on in the world, and be able to laugh about a number of things. Jim was truly a unique person with all of his various interests that he developed from boyhood such as enjoying cars, motorcycles, and then later on, boats. I did have one opportunity to go out on their boat down in Florida and got to observe Jim completely in his element. So may his spirit live long in those of us who remember him. I appreciated so much his love for Laura and for Summer. And that he developed also a love for the various canine companions that he spent time with. I am mostly happy for him that he has now found peace in body, mind, and spirit. I will miss you, Jim. Your sis, Mary Lou.

So sorry to hear of this loss for you and all who knew Jim.  He was a delightful friend and co-worker who always had the kindest words and actions. Very special person and lovely family.

What a beautiful tribute. It captures his spirit so well. I had so much respect for Jim as a co-worker many decades ago and as a friend. Sending so much love to Laura and Summer and all who loved him.

I am so sorry to hear this. He is and always will be my friend. My love and thoughts are with you and his family. Jimmie and I hit it off together when he was here in Washington. One of the best guys I’ve ever known.  RIP until we meet again.
