James “Jimmy” “Bo” “Daddy Do” Giles Sasseman

James “Jimmy” Giles Sasseman, 71, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away on September 29, 2025. Born January 23, 1954, in Illinois, Jimmy was the beloved son of Cornelia Cameron Orr and Robert Sasseman, both deceased.
Growing up in River Forest, Illinois, Jimmy attended Oak Park and River Forest High School before continuing his studies at Triton College. He spent much of his career working in retail and management, where his humor, kindness, and easygoing personality left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
How to describe Jimmy? "The life of the party." Whether he was wearing his signature green pants every Christmas, pulling out his “Billy Bob” teeth for a laugh, or breaking into song with his harmonica belt, he loved to entertain and bring joy to others. His presence was magnetic, his laughter contagious, and his love for family and friends unwavering.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Sasseman; his parents, Cornelia and Robert; and his brother, Larry Orr. He is survived by his daughter, Alexandra Williams, and her husband, David Williams; his granddaughter, Willow Williams; and his brother, David Sasseman.
Jimmy’s memory will live on in the stories, smiles, and songs he leaves behind.
