Jim was a very good man, didn't know him real well but while he was with my sister and they had Olivia, he loved them very much. Your going to be missed Jim, your time came to soon. Love you Olivia. From Uncle David.

My condolences to Jim's family. I first met Jim when We work together at Gene Reed Toyota in Charleston SC.

He was a very cool guy to work with, I am sure he is missed by his Toyota family.

Jim was a great guy! I think and miss him often. It is not the same without Jim around.

Jim LOVED being on the water with a rod in his hand almost as much as he loved his own kid- but we all know V was his whole heart. Always so proud of her, it literally made me want to be a son to the man & he was like a big brother pseudo dad to me for sure. I went out fishing with Jim one day in 2014 & we had a blast catching almost nothing but a gnarly sun burn and a dark tan, until a grouper smashed one of our bait and provided us with dinner that night. When we were docking and getting the boat cleaned up- he looked over and said “You know Tom, sometimes you gotta slow down in order to speed up.” He wasn’t talking about any one thing in particular, but it was kind of encompassing everything we’ve been through. I saw lots of ups & downs with this man. But no matter what happened- Jim was going to be there to lift my chin up or praise me for a job well done. I miss the guy terribly.

Jim- Such an amazing human being. It’s been incredibly hard knowing you’re gone. The last time we saw each other ironically was at another funeral. We cried, we laughed, and we got through it. Somehow, that’s what we’re all doing- just getting through it. You are missed my friend. You helped me see the good in people when I was blinded by negativity. You gave me an incredible set of skills that I didn’t know I had within my reach. We made a bunch of money together, but somehow you made me feel like a son through all of it.

I’m incredibly sad for Via and the family that he’s going to be watching over from heaven from now on. Just know you guys are in my thoughts on a daily basis.

To everyone who knew him- we’ll share this sadness for a while.. But he wouldn’t want us too sad, for too long.

Love you buddy.

Deepest Sympathy...I never met him but My niece Billi  Allison Hoover told me what a kind and caring person he was to work with and talk to and spend time with...so sorry for your loss...
What a joy to work with and be around, Jim was a very caring person and will be truly missed.
