James “Lenny” LeRoy Sanford was a caring father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He left this world suddenly on Nov 30, 2021 at age 57.

He was born to Edna Greene and June Sanford on August 17, 1964. After graduating from high school, Lenny followed his dreams and joined the Marine Corp, In 1990 James had his first daughter Martina Sanford followed by his son Joshua Sanford. He had a very special niece that was more-so like his middle child Justice Sanford. James loved his children and never missed a beat with them, he always called them his reason for BETTER.

Lenny loved spending time in the kitchen, cooking food for family and friends. He also loved to go fishing and hunting. Neighborhood friends would gather around the card table  after-work, and play cards till sun up. Old School music was his go-to, He was a skilled piano player and filled his home with nothing but trail-ride music. Most weekends were spent in his "he-shed", where he always said a grown man can be a grown man.
