James's obituary
James R. Mitchell, beloved "Papa," passed peacefully after a prolonged battle with dementia. A proud U.S. Air Force veteran who rose to Staff Sergeant, James served eight years before settling in Toledo, Ohio with his wife Gisela, whom he met during a posting in Berlin. Known for his ability to fix anything, he found his greatest joy building, fishing, and boating — especially alongside his son Marcus. He was a steadfast provider and devoted family man to the end.
He is survived by his wife Gisela; son Marcus; daughter-in-law Beth; grandchildren Morgan and Shelby; sister Cheryl Penny; and numerous nieces and nephews.Papa, you are dearly missed — and endlessly loved.
