Personal note from the Marshall children

It is with broken but grateful hearts we confirm the passing of our dear parents, Jim and Marilyn Marshall. They were the ultimate team - together in life, in ministry, and ultimately in death.

We would never have imagined we would lose both our parents within a 5-day span of time. The loss is great, but our gratitude is even greater. We are so proud to be their kids and we love them dearly.

We want to thank you - their friends and family - for loving and caring for them over the decades they served in Ministry. They were shining examples of what it meant to be a Jesus follower and they tirelessly gave of themselves - putting people’s needs above their own - always there to help, care and comfort whenever they were called upon. They poured out their lives for others.

In this time of extreme personal loss, we have decided not to move forward with a public memorial service, but instead to honor their lives in a special and intimate way as an immediate family. We appreciate your understanding and privacy as we mourn and celebrate in this way.

All who knew and loved Jim and Marilyn are encouraged to add their condolences, remembrances, and photos to this website.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made in their name to the Black Rock Church Missions Fund.
