James's obituary

James “Jim” Lee Pardue, age 65, of Fulton, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025, peacefully at his home in Lake Placid, Florida.

He is survived by his loving wife Ree Pardue. Jim was a devoted father to seven children, Clifton Pardue (Charlotte), Meagan Pryor (Josh), Sunny Prenger (Brady), Kylie Murray, Kenneth Holland (Heidi), Connor Collins, and Olivia Collins; and grandfather to Canton, Camden, EmmyLou, Lexi, Cali, Aria, Asher, Kinsley, Karly, Olivia, Zoey, Zeth, Zian, Justine, Kale, Chance, Rhyan, and Cooper; great grandfather to Kason and Kyrell: brother to Phyllis (Donnie) Masek and Barbara (Jackie) Farris; son-in-law to Gayle Stanton, and uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Wanda L. Pardue, father Gilbert A. Pardue, and nephew Jeffery Farris.

Jim was born in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, on September 7,1959. He graduated in 1977 from Fulton High School, where he played football and wrestled. He served proudly in the United States Coast Guard after high school. Jim was a proven leader in his career, committed to high quality and standards in sales, marketing, and the building industry at Cedar Creek Construction & Property Management Company, Gastineau Log Homes, American Building Products, 84 Lumber Company, Wausau Homes/Sterling Building Systems, Ace Building Systems, and Pardue Properties. Jim was a skilled carpenter and enjoyed making beautiful furniture for his family.

Jim Pardue, a man larger than life to his family and friends, truly lived life to the fullest and loved his people fiercely. He had an uncanny ability to tell an extravagant story, take you on an adventure, and save the day. One of the greatest gifts he gave us was believing in us. He instilled a solid work ethic, life values, and showed his family what unconditional love feels and looks like. He dedicated his time, even on his tough days, to putting his family first. He knew how to gain your respect and give you respect. The satisfaction of seeing Jim in your corner, smiling on your behalf, brought great pride to your soul. Jim especially enjoyed his retirement traveling to see his children and grandchildren participate in any and all of their activities. If he was unable to attend, he was the first person checking in for an update or a video. Jim loved racing cars and rebuilding old ones with his son. He collected antiques because he saw the beauty in the nostalgic value. An avid fisherman, he spent many hours fishing with his best friend, Tom Block, boat in tow. Jim’s life was not complete without his canine companions: Buddy, Amy, Hazel, and Lola. Jim Pardue will always and forever remain his wife’s best friend, his son’s first hero, his daughter’s first love, his grandchildren's first protector. He made a huge impact on those he left behind, and will live on forever in our hearts.

On Thursday, February 27, 2025, Visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m.- 7:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at 7:00 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church, 395 Country Meadows Drive, Fulton, MO, 65251, 573-642-5921.
