James “Dennis” Morgan, 65, of Richmond, Virginia went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 12, 2024.

Dennis was born in Richmond, Virginia on June 18, 1958, to the late Patricia Marie Bondurant and James Henry Morgan. He is survived by his daughters, Rachael Hostetter and Melissa Barlow; son-in-law Matthew Hostetter; granddaughters Ellie Hostetter and Anora Barlow-Philp; and his stepbrother Kirk Grose.

Dennis spent his career as a welder by trade and was extremely proud of the buildings and hospitals he was able to have a hand in creating. He had a strong admiration and respect for our veterans and after retiring from his welding career, he was honored to spend his time working the valet at McGuire Veterans Hospital.

He had a passion for the outdoors and loved to spend his spare time hunting and fishing with his best friend and “brother” the late Freddie Zahn. He found joy in passing down his knowledge of bow hunting and fishing to his daughters, son-in-law, and granddaughter as well as teaching them how to self-sustain with their own garden and food preservation. Dennis never passed up a chance to have a good time and was admired by many. He will be missed immensely.
