James's obituary
James Leach,81], of Pearland, TX, peacefully passed away on March 31st, 2022, after a long battle with Alzheimer's.
Born in N. Penobscot ME to Wealthie Art & Frank C. Leach, James was a funny and inquisitive boy.
James met the Great Love of his Life, Betty Jo Parker, in 1958, married in 1959, and went on seven years later to have one daughter, Angela Jo Leach-Gaddis. James strove to put family first, always, and was a dedicated Father and Older Brother. He spent the majority of his career with Stewart & Stevenson, where he worked for 36 years. While there, he was in a variety of positions from Diesel Mechanic, to Dispatcher, to Instructor, made even more impressive by the fact that James only had an 8th grade education. He spent most of his retirement traveling with his camping club, playing with his grandsons and most recently his two great-grandsons . And Building Fires,,,,, the man Loved His Fires!
James was predeceased by his parents Wealthie Art & Frank Leach, as well as by his two younger brothers Robert & Dwayne.
He leaves behind his wife of 62 blissful years, Betty Jo; His sister Vivian Leach Grindle of Blue Hill ME; His Daughter, Angela, and his favorite son in law Glenn Gaddis ;) His three grandsons,
- Justyn Glenn Gaddis, and wife Sarabeth & great-grandsons James Patrick Gaddis & Jonathan David Gaddis;
- Taylor James Gaddis and fiancee' Anais Garza;
- and Shane Gaddis and his heart Kaitlyn Senter;
as well as granddaughters Stephanie, Abigail & Mallory Gaddis; He is also survived and will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and extended family & friends.
A Celebration of Life is set for Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 2-4 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W Broadway, Pearland, TX 77584 Services will also be live streamed during Celebration and from Website, { INSERT HERE }
