James Michael Jones was born June 29, 1962 . He was preceded in death by his parents Dorothy Bobbitt Jones and Jesse James Jones. James was a 1980 graduate of Meridian High School. While at Meridian High, he was a member of the State Championship in 1979 and 1980 football teams, the powerlifting team, the basketball team manager and played in the 1979 Allstars Game. He received a full athletic scholarship to Jackson State, but later transferred to Mississippi Valley State. James was a former employee of East Mississippi State Hospital, Children Clinic of Meridian and Alliance Health/ The Crossing. He was a CNA/Direct Care worker. James leaves to cherish his memories, an ex-wife Velisica C Trotter, devoted life partner Belinda Harvey, co-parent Toni B. Wilkin, two daughters Marlee Berry and Jorianna Jones, three adopted daughters Tamila Abrams, Khadija Easley, and Destiny Abrams, one adopted son Christopher Harris , seven grandchildren, Cameron, Cassandra, Markita, Imari, Ja'Mir, Jaryah, and Journey and three brothers from another mother Joe Easter, Maurice "Pookie" Johnson and Alfonzo Dean. A sister in law Andrea Spencer, nephew Marcus Brooks and a host of loving cousins.
