[James M Hall], [91], of [Lakeland, Fl and Camden, SC], passed away on [January 26] after a brief [illness].

[Jimmy] was born on [May 29, 1929] to [Joe and Leila Hall] in [Camden, SC]. After graduating from [Camden High School] in1946], [he] enlisted in Marines and went on to study [college major] at [Clemson University on the GI Bill before graduating from the University of South Carolina. Make no mistake about it; however, he was a Clemson Tiger through and through]!

Before graduation, [he] began working [his] first job at Dupont, where he retired from. In [year they met], [he/she] met [Estelle Mason], and they wed in [1950], going on to have [four daughters who were the lights of his life] children, [Sheri Bruce, Jill Hall, Susie Morris and Judi Hall].

[Jimmy] was a hardworking man and loving father, determined to provide for his family and give his girls the life he felt they deserved. Family meant everything to him, something he often mentioned. He adored and was always proud of his grandchildren [Mason Morris], [Spenser Dickeson], and [Alex Bruce] and lived long enough to enjoy holding his great grandson, Jax Dickeson.

Jimmy] was also a passionate [lover of Shag Dancing and beach music] and could often be found [at Shag Clubs in Camden and Columbia or at SOS weekends] when he wasn’t at home.

Anyone who knew [Jimmy] knew that he was the most loving father a family could ask for. [Jimmy] was predeceased by his nine siblings[Vanessa, Katherine, Vivian, JoLynn, Mary Nell, Donald, Robert, and Barbara].

Jimmy Hall was a pragmatic and thrifty man, and his long-time request was for his body to be donated to science. It was accepted by the University of Central Florida Medical School in early February and will be used for research. There will be a private family celebration of life] at a later date when the pandemic has subsided.
