James, 51, of Conway, AR died unexpectedly on January 08, 2023.His loss was completely unexpected and the family is shocked and deeply saddened.

James was born on October 19, 1971 to Vennetia Delong and James Melton Senior in Odessa, Texas. He worked as a tree cutter and father.

Anyone who knew James, knew that he was loving, caring, forgiving, and above all else a friend and father. He had an immense passion for family and scooters and was always a source of positivity. He put everyone before himself. He loved anything outside camping, fishing, or watching the water in the stream flow by. James’s family and friends will miss him more than words can say. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Terry, Phillip, and Woodrow.  

He is survived by Wife Rhonda Melton, four children James, Savannah, Valarie, and Joshua. Two step children Bradley and Aaron. Five siblings Donna, Carla, Altha, Ricky, and Larry. Four grandchildren Dixie Ryeanne, Jasper, Kinzley, and Kyle Tom.
