James McAfee, 87, of Tidewater, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2020. He was a native of Belfast, Northern Ireland and had been a Tidewater resident since 1946 and he received his citizenship in 1957. James was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. David and Julia Drummond McAfee; sisters, Julia “June” Campbell, Isabel “Ginger” Buzard; and daughter, Deborah McAfee Tressler. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Diane Jenkins (Stephen) of Waverly, Va., and Jeanine McAfee of Dayton, Ohio; grandchildren, Wendy Acevedo, Michael Jenkins, Matthew Jenkins; great-grandchildren, Elijah and Jacob Acevedo; and sister, Terri McAfee Artman of Yorktown, Va.
