It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of James Matthew Tarver, affectionately known as Matt, on January 1, 2024. Matt was brought into this world on September 28, 1988, and throughout his life, he made a profound impact on those around him with his creative and artistic mind and silly personality.

Matt is lovingly remembered by his mother, Shannon Bush, and his father, Vincent Bush. He leaves behind his brother, Vincent Bush Jr., and his sisters, Alanna Rushing, Shanna Martin, and Brenna Bush. Matt’s legacy will also be cherished by his brothers-in-law, Casey Rushing and Justin Martin, as well as his beloved nieces and nephews, Kadence Rushing, Isaiah Rushing, Judah Rushing, Isabella Rushing, and Greyson Martin.

He was predeceased by his beloved grandparents, Bessie Tarver, James Tarver, and Claris Disney. Their memories live through him, engraved in the hearts and minds of all who loved them.

Matt was an individual of distinctive character, often encouraging others not to be afraid to explore different ways of thinking and to always stay true to themselves. His jovial spirit and unique outlook on life will continue to live on in the hearts of those who had the honor of knowing him.

His life was one of quiet but profound influence, of gentle charisma, and of great love. Matt’s journey on earth might be over, but his spirit will forever be a part of our lives.
