It is with sincere sadness that we announce the passing of James "Jamie" Mangum who departed from us on March 22, 2024. Born in 1970, James was a vibrant personality cherished by all who knew him.
Often known as Jamie among friends, he was an outgoing character who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. Characterized by his love for family gatherings and the joy he found in spending time with his loved ones, James left an indelible mark on everyone he met.
His recreational activities were as unique as the man himself. A passionate internet enthusiast, James spent much of his free time surfing the web, seeking out new information and engaging with the online community. His love for classic cars also frequently took him to car shows, where he reveled in the beauty of vintage machinery.
James loved the beach, a serene place where he found tranquility. It was one of his favorite vacation spots and formed the backdrop for many treasured memories.
A favorite culinary indulgence of James was sweet iced tea, often enjoyed during a summer day or as a refreshing treat after one of his long online sessions.
James cared deeply about numerous causes, with the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) holding a special place in his heart. His involvement in the organization was evident in the time and resources he committed to it.
James was predeceased by his father, Charles Mangum, and his sister, Mariesa Bolton. He is survived by his brother, Ronald Mangum, and sister Angie Mangum who will continue to remember him with love and reverence.
Many will miss James, a man whose impact on those around him was profound. He brought laughter, warmth, and kindness to every interaction, and those fortunate enough to have known him will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
