James Christopher Maher, 78, of Cave Creek, AZ passed away peacefully with his family by his side on September 20, 2018. He was loved by all and survived by his wife, Diane, his daughter and son-in-law, Kelly & John, his grandson, Brayden, his sons Scott, Jimmy, Steven, and Erik, his grandchildren, James, and Samantha, and countless extended family including brothers & sisters in law & nieces and nephews.

Jim was the oldest of the five Maher brothers, who all grew up in New Jersey. He was an avid camper and his love for camping turned into a career where he owned an RV dealership. After retiring from Best West RV Center, he worked for the Cave Creek Unified School district for the past 13 years where he met & cherished many friends.

He was a kind, gentle, and loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He never met a person he didn't like, and vice versa. He was very proud of his Irish heritage & enjoyed celebrating St. Patrick's Day every year at the Irish Faire downtown, with an occasional Guinness. He will be forever missed.
