James's obituary
James Thomas Liles gained his Angel wings on Friday, June 16, 2023, at the age of 83 years old at Anne Arundel Hospital. James was born on October 27, 1939, in Wadesboro, North Carolina to the late Clayton Liles and Emma Robinson-Liles. He later relocated to Washington, DC and was united in marriage to Marie Liles from his union of two children Angela F. Liles, and James T. Liles were born.
James graduated from West D Creek High School in 1958 from Wadesboro, NC. He worked as a Barber, DC Metro, DC Police officer, Church Usher, and a qualified Notary. Later, he went back to school to continue his education at Armstrong, and Phelp’s Barbering school. After completion of school, he started working at Freeman Barbershop located in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
James accepted Christ early in life. He was baptized and became a member of Henry Road Baptist church. Later, he attended a church called Largo Community Church located in Mitchellville, MD. He became the usher of the church. James was a faithful member at the Largo community Church and enjoyed working with many church members. He believed in Jesus Christ and will be sending the angels to watch over his family.
James touched the lives and blessed many people for he was truly gifted and a ball of pure gold light. James enjoyed spending his free time going to car shows on Sunday’s. He loved all his cars, such as Mercedes Benz and Dodge Challengers. James was a go hard Giants Football fan whether wins or loses, that’s his team. His favorite food was chicken and fish. His favorite shows were Western’s, Jerry Springers, and Maury’s. James had a special kind of love for his kids, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, and other loved ones that cannot be explained.
