James's obituary

James (Jim) Lee Larimore, son of Lorenzo and Josephine Larimore was born in Kansas City, Kansas on December 27, 1944 and departed this life on February 15, 2025, at the age of 80 years old. After high school James was drafted by The United States Army, and proudly served our country until October 1969 when he was honorably discharged. During his time in the Army he earned a National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal with three bronze service stars; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal; and three Purple Hearts with 2 oak leaf clusters. In 1987 James was united in marriage with his beloved wife, Bonnie Myers, who had two grown daughters, Lori and Stacey, that he quickly looked to as his own. James and Bonnie spent 32 wonderful years together before her passing. Jim spent most of his career working in car sales and dabbling in real estate with his wife Bonnie. In their spare time you could find them on the dance floor dancing the West Coast Swing. After her passing Jim continued to spend his time dancing, riding his Harley and playing pool while making lasting friendships with these hobbies, however his greatest joy was spending time with his three granddaughters, six great grandchildren and making memories with his family. Jim was a faithful Christian who had been attending Vineyard Church for the past three years. Jim is preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie D. Larimore; father, Lorenzo (Tessie) Larimore; Mother, Josephine Larimore. He is survived by his two daughters, Lori Schneider and husband Sam; Stacey Mitchell and husband James; three granddaughters, Kelsey Ross and husband Steven; Jessica Mitchell and Katie Schneider; six great-grandchildren, Palmer, Vivian and Navy Ross; Ryann, River and Rhett Fitzpatrick. Jim deeply loved his family and friends. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
