Jim's obituary

Jim Reynolds, 70, of Tampa, FL, passed away on September 7, 2023. Born on April 13, 1953, in Charleston, South Carolina, Jim was a beloved partner, father, grandfather, and friend.

Jim grew up in a close-knit family and often recounted tales of childhood adventures with his siblings. He was a beacon of support for his family and friends, his wisdom and humor lighting up even the darkest moments. Outside of the office, Jim had a range of hobbies. He was an avid golfer, often seen teeing off at dawn on the weekends. He was a passionate fisherman, spending countless hours in retirement with rod in hand. Moreover, his love of motorcycles took him on trips all over the country.

In his career, Jim built a commendable reputation in finance. Starting as a junior analyst in 1979, he rose through the ranks to become a respected senior executive at a leading financial firm in Nashville, TN. His colleagues often spoke of his unerring integrity, razor-sharp acumen, and unwavering dedication to mentorship.

Jim is survived by his partner of 12 years, Connie, his three children, Peter, Emily, Alice, and two stepchildren, Matthew and Nicholas. He was also a loving grandfather to five beautiful grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Charleston in Jim's memory.

Jim Reynolds will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love, support, and dedication will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched.
