Kit, Carrie, Shawna and Nathan, as well as your spouses and children - while I only knew Jim for a short part of his life, I was never in doubt when he was around.  His presence, sense of humor and joy was contagious!  I especially enjoyed how he lit up when his grandchildren caught his attention.  I consider myself fortunate to have met him and know that he was incredibly impactful on your lives.  Hold each other tight - he would have wanted nothing less!

I look forward to celebrating his life this coming weekend!

Tine

My deepest condolences to Kit and all of Jim's family.  He was an amazing man and so well loved.

I remember that video!  A great example of Jim’s ability to let his flag fly.

I may not speak for all of Jim's subordinate lawyers at DOJ, but "king of comedy" is not the first way I'd describe his supervisory style.  But if you dug, his sense of humor was there and it was good.  I'm posting a still-frame from the Walk Like An Egyptian music video that we did for the DOJ holiday party c.2004.  Worth 1,000 words.  RIP Jim.  I'm glad I got to work with you.
Going many places with Brother Jim, like Christmas caroling, watching  baseball games just really fun times as well everyday living times.  Fond memories.
May God be with you at this difficult time.My deepest sympathies Hermina Martinez
