As a heart attack survivor and LVAD recipient, Jim experienced firsthand the life-saving impact of the research, education, and care standards that organizations like the AHA make possible. His path—from survival to recovery—was shaped by advances in cardiovascular science and patient support that the AHA has championed for decades.
Beyond his own experience, Jim chose to give back as both a donor and a supporter, recognizing that the same system that helped save his life continues to help millions of others. Supporting the AHA is not just about funding research—it’s about honoring Jim’s story, advancing care for future patients, and being part of a broader effort to fight heart disease and improve outcomes for families everywhere.
