James “Jim” Earl Kerr, 77, of Ellenton, Florida passed away at his home on August 30, 2020. He was born on July 19, 1943, in Phoenix, Arizona. He was a long time resident of Lafayette, Indiana, and a graduate from Jefferson High School’s Class of 1961. Immediately after graduation, Jim joined the US Army. He was stationed in Würzburg, Germany until 1964 when he was honorably discharged and returned home to Indiana. After his return, Jim married Sandra Louise (Nelson) Kerr on August 15, 1964. Throughout his life, Jim enjoyed photography, fishing, candy making, bird watching, and spending time with his friends and family. Jim is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sandy; Three sons Daniel Charles (Lori) of Danville, IL, Jan Allen (Hope) of Fort Myers, FL, and Jon Michael (Aimee) of Brooksville, FL; Two nieces; Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Kenneth Earl and Lauveta Eileen (Smith) Kerr and his brother Kenneth Norman (Carol) Kerr.
