Thank you for bringing so much joy to our Joy and our entire family. We have so many James J. stories and sayings that we share at every opportunity. We love and miss you.

“Call me by the old familiar name.Speak of me in the easy way which you always used.Put no difference into your tone. Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together.Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.Let my name be ever the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without an effort, without the ghost of a shadow upon it.”
- Henry Scott-Holland. "Death Is Nothing At All."

My sincere condolences to the family. From our days in high school summer camp at Morris Brown to our days in the AUC and the Blue and White family. James always had a kind word and a smile. Rest well my friend. May God comfort and provide your family with strength during this time.

I am so sorry you didn't have more time young man. It all goes by so fast. One minute you are playing basketball on the block. The next, you are called upon to be a man and accept life challenging responsibilities. One minute your body is on autopilot. The next, you have to watch it like a hawk just to survive..
I'm so sorry things happened this way. I hope your peers can learn from this loss of you so early. I hope we all learn to take life for the precious, fragile blessing that it is.
I only knew you for a short while. But I liked the way you always made everyone feel important while they were in your presence.

Deepest condolences to the Jennings family. James/Chris were my brother and I’s Sunday school mates at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Our Sunday schoolteacher Mrs. English (rip) ensured we knew the books of the bible. Many years have passed but Mrs. Jennings(rip),Mr. Jennings, and the entire family have always been so pleasant, kind and with infectious smiles. May James rest in heavenly peace.
