Background
Dad never discussed a memorial charity. But recently going through his stuff I noticed several checks written to Phoenix Children’s Hospital. I did not know he was still giving to them. But I know he gave to them several years ago after they took care of his granddaughter Anna, my niece. My sister and her family had been visiting us in Phoenix when Anna was diagnosed with appendicitis. She was rushed to Phoenix Childrens Hospital where she received an emergency appendectomy and one of the nicest rooms you can ask for in a hospital with room for Mom and Dad to stay overnight and daily visits with the cutest dogs.
So I think Phoenix Children’s Hospital would have been Dad’s choice.
