It is with extreme sadness to announce the passing of James C. Hamalian (Jimmy) in Reno, NV, on October 8, 2022. Born on October 17, 1951, Jimmy hailed from North Caldwell, NJ and moved to Reno in 1997 to take up residency in a humidity-free climate where his good friend also lived. Jimmy was a graduate of Monmouth University in New Jersey. He worked for many years with DuPont film products servicing printing businesses in all corners of New York City. Upon leaving DuPont, he moved to Reno and worked for the University of Nevada (Reno) for several years before retiring. A true gem of a human being, Jimmy befriended anyone and everyone. His infectious laughter would fill an entire house at a party. Indeed, Jimmy was, undisputedly, the consummate party animal! But, Jimmy was also the most loving and helpful person, never hesitating to extend his hand to anyone in need of anything. Jimmy leaves behind sister Stacia M. Klidjian (Ara Y. Klidjian) of St. Augustine, FL, brother Gary P. Hamalian (Kum So) of Collegeville, PA, brother Peter B. Hamalian (Ketty Bohorquez) of Dania Beach, FL, two nephews (Matt A. Klidjian and James P. Hamalian), two nieces (Nicole and Tiffany Hamalian), five grandnieces, one grandnephew, several cousins and other extended family members, and innumerable friends (including, but not exclusively Louis Bonito, an honorary brother of Jimmy) Jimmy will forever remain in the hearts of his family, friends and acquaintances. Arrangements for the celebration of his life will be communicated separately in the near future, but there will be a memorial service held for him both in his hometown of North Caldwell, NJ, as well as a small remembrance service in his beloved city of Reno, NV.
