James (Greg)'s obituary
James (Greg) Cook, 59, of Dallas, passed away on July 21, 2022 after a long battle with Opsoclonus Myoclonus Ataxia Syndrome & COPD.
Greg was born on March 4, 1963 to Annie (Myrt) & Clarence (CJ) Cook in Charleston, SC. Greg is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Donna, 2 Sisters (Gina & Ron Rendleman of Phelan, CA and Angela Bucher of Columbia, SC), 3 children (Shannon (Daughter) & Brian Banks of Powder Springs, GA, Shelly of Douglasville, GA and Shawn of Dallas, GA), 7 grandchildren (Ashlei, Kimberly, Tysen, Alden, Addison, Raelyn, Kennedi), 3 great grandchildren (Deklyn, Ryliegh & Dakota) and many many friends of his children that he considers sons and daughters. Greg is preceded in death by his parents Annie (Myrt) & Clarence (CJ) and his Brother, James Michael.
Greg was so full of life! His main goal in life was to make people smile and he went out of his way to do that, each and every day. He LOVED to fish, especially if it was with his family. He loved to sit out in his boat, under a tree and just wait for the fish to bite. He was a Harley Man and loved to go out on rides with mom sitting behind him. Greg was a fierce friend. If you were blessed to be his friend, you had a friend for life. He was a mentor and teacher to many young men who were trying to find their way in life. Greg touched so many lives!
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 4th from 5pm - 8pm at Ashven Estate. 100 Mcpherson Rd Villa Rica, GA 30180.
