James's obituary
Mr. Grahl Moxley, age 56, of Vidalia, died Friday, May 16, 2025, at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta following an extended illness. He was a native of Treutlen County and was a 1986 graduate of Treutlen County High School. While in high school, Grahl worked at several local radio stations in Soperton and Swainsboro, as well as 98Q in Vidalia. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. In the late 1990s, he began a career as a millwright. Later, he became a superintendent, working in New Jersey, Wisconsin, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and Alabama. He was a member of United Brotherhood of Carpenter and Joiners of America. He was a member of Harmony Masonic Lodge #405 in Soperton, Al Sihah Shriners in Macon, Vidalia/Lyons Moose Lodge #1281, and Morningside Baptist Church in Treutlen County. Grahl enjoyed fishing, golf, riding in truck and exploring new places, dancing, eating, and loved music immensely. He is preceded in death by his father, James Monroe Moxley.
His family includes his mother, Glenda Register August of Vidalia; one sister, Carla Moxley Caputi of Lake Park; one niece, Leslie Kate Culpepper and husband Matthew of Nashville, Georgia; and three great-nieces, McKenzie, Amelia, and Charlotte Culpepper.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 8:00.
The funeral service will be Thursday morning, May 22nd, 2025, at 11:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Randy McDuffie officiating. Burial will follow at Boiling Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Treutlen County with Masonic Rites.
