I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of Jim. The write-up and description of him are beautiful and resound my perceptions of him during the few times I have shared with you and Jim. In each of those times, I have seen and felt the love you both had for one another. I am saddened that his time here and your time together was much too short. To our dear niece, Leanne and whole beautiful family, the sun came up this morning, the bird is on the wire and Jim is not here but his spirit is too strong and his positive influence on the world is too strong to ever die. Thirty years ago, we met Jim, and what struck me first was his radiant smile, the kind that lit up the room and his laugh too. I learned his love ran deep—for his family and his friends. Through life's challenges, he tirelessly worked to ensure his children felt loved and secure. His kindness towards us never wavered. Jim was the type to rise early during a snowstorm to shovel out a friend's car, knowing they had an early morning ahead. I'm grateful you shared your love until the end. It feels too soon to say goodbye, knowing there was still so much love in your heart to give.

Such a tragic memo to receive from UConn just now. The pictures of Jim and you and all of the children show the deep love, admiration, joy and warmth you all shared together. I am at a loss for words to express my sorrow for you and Jim and the entire family you created and developed together.
This life in the earth journey is both a wonderful event and also a true test of our strength. You have risen to every challenge given to you. Your courage and dedication and goodness are truly a huge reflection of the person you are.

Jim was a dedicated hard working father and friend. He was like another father to my boys knowing them since they were in grade school. He was a great man. He shared the love for the boy scouts with Erik and enjoyed showing and sharing his talents and knowledge. He was always smiling and looking on the bright side of things and even when life was tough. He raised two beautiful children and finally found the love of his life Leanne. To see the happiness on his face and the love he shared with Leanne and his family was beautiful.
We will deeply miss Jim forever.

I’m heartbroken for you and your family. The hurt doesn’t seem to want to go away. Jim looked just like him mom and shared her beautiful traits. I shed many tears over my loss, if the VA offers grief counseling take it they have been wonderful to me.

Leanne, we are in shock! We have such wonderful memories of you and Jim. We really admired the love you and Jim shared. Being around you lifted our spirits. I wish I could come through this screen and hug you! I/we love you and we loved Jim! Who wouldn’t?!
