It is with great sadness that I share that my brother, Jimmy Gallien, has passed.
One thing I can say with conviction about my brother: everyone who ever met him remembers him. Some may remember his acts of benevolence, some his vigilantism, some his reverence, some his irreverence, some his athletic prowess, some his slow-cooked ribs. All will remember his outlandish stories - some of those, even true.
He was, indeed, larger than life. I loved him fiercely, and also, at times, from a distance.
A memorial is planned at my dad's house in Hidden Hills on Saturday, Jan 21, at Noon.
