James's obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James Fowlie. James, affectionately known as Jim, left us too soon on October 19, 2024 after a battle with Cancer.

James was a bright beacon of life and laughter, radiating his funny and friendly personality to everyone he met. He had a love for the simpler things in life, finding joy in the everyday. A cold glass of milk was his drink of choice, and he relished in the timeless appeal of old western movies.

James’s love of the outdoors was palpable. Fishing was his sanctuary – a place where he felt at ease and in touch with the tranquility of nature. Another favorite pastime of his was riding his E-bike, a hobby that allowed him to enjoy the great outdoors.

A natural handyman, James had a knack for working on cars. He often shared his knowledge and skills with others, passing along wisdom and practicality in equal measures. The lessons he taught on fixing cars were as much about patience and resilience as they were about the mechanics themselves.

James is survived by his Wife wonderful wife Sylvia and loving kids, to whom he was a loving father. He also leaves behind a huge loving family.  Many as he referred to as “His girls”. His laughter, wisdom, and warmth will remain in our hearts and memories. As we navigate this time of loss, we remember James not with sorrow but with gratitude for the joy and love he brought into our lives.
