James's obituary
James Edward Moore “Jimbo” 68 of Crete, Ne. Released his spirit and entered eternal rest on Sunday January 8, 2023 surrounded by his family.
They say a man knows more of a road by having traveled it , than by standing by the side and watching traffic.
Jimbo was born on January 10, 1954 in Akron , Ohio to Herman and Virginia Moore. Contrary to what he would tell you…it was not a Tuesday. From there the travels began. From flying to Anchorage Alaska at 13 years old scared and alone to work on a mink ranch with his father. To finding himself in Waukegan Illinois and meeting the love of his life June Marie Albert. The adventures were just beginning as their love story added two new chapters with the birth of their children Shawn and Casey. Jimbos’ love of all things music led to the forming of the band Nite Fire and eventually becoming Panama Road. Jim loved his drums and adored making music. However, making people laugh until their sides hurt pulled equally at his heart strings. A family friend recently said “ if you were around Jimbo and didn’t have a blast, well then that was your own fault”. As proud as he was of being a husband , father , musician , fireman , coach or one of a kind funny man , he was equally , if not more so proud of being a boppie and a great grand boppie to his 5 grandchildren Alexandria , Kailey , Alayna , Erykah and Gavin and 1 great grand child Leena. When the memory dies, the legend fades away and there is no more greatness. The memories that James Moore leaves with us all will ensure his legend will live on and there will be nothing but greatness.
James is survived by his wife June Moore, his son Shawn ( Laurie )Moore, his daughter Casey Moore all of Crete. Grandchildren Alexandria (Carson, Leena) Homolka of Wilber, Kailey Moore, Alayna Steffensmeier, Erykah Moore and Gavin Steffensmeier. His brother Mike ( Brenda ) Inderlied of Dorchester and a host of aunts , uncles ,nieces ,nephews , cousins and numerous friends.
James was preceded in death by his father Herman Moore , his mother Virginia Inderlied, his brother Herb Moore and his sister Starr Moore.
A celebration of life will be held at the Tuxedo park AG Hall in Crete on January 21,2023 @ 6pm. Memorials in lieu of flowers
