Hi Joyce and all who are related to James

Joyce, everyone loves James. He loved Jehovah and he loved gardening! He was such a wonderful brother to my family, more fatherly really.

I wished we had gotten to speak to him before we left for the Kingdom of Tonga (November 2023). We are still serving in Tonga.

One of my BS just got baptized last month (May 2025). It’s almost like Africa here; almost everyone loves God and the Bible. You can have as many BSs as you can cultivate. The field is TRULY white for harvesting in Tonga…

The hope of seeing ones we love like James  resurrected will be too wonderful to behold but we know it to be true because Jehovah God cannot lie.

May Acts 24:15 which states,  “And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” carry you through in these last days until we all see James again.

We love you Joyce.

Much agape,

Tuyet, Mark & Thuy-Mai (Ellie)

I will always be thankful to the Bryant family for taking me in as one of their own when I moved to Austin for college and joined the congregation. Brother and Sister Bryant opened their home to me, Aisha and Mel would always invite me over or along to something that was going on. It made my transition to a new area and congregation smooth.

Something about them reminded me of home ❤️.  Perhaps it's because Louisianans never met a stranger and always have another seat at the table, my dad's family is the same way. Can't wait to see our dear brother again. To the entire family, thank you for sharing him with all of us.

James was definitely a beloved brother and friend of ours. He always was smiling and brought life into the room. Love you Bryant family and all of the friends and family of our dear beloved friend James. Be assured of Jehovah's love for you too. He remembers everything about James and he will bring him back with everything intact.

Our condolences to the entire family. We love you and know Jehovah will give you the strength to endure.

A "Brother" at the right time is who and what James Bryant was to family, friends and associates alike.

I met Brother in 1975 through a mutual friend and became part of a close knit friend group who enjoyed  many happy times together in Austin, Tx.

Over the years,  I've shared wonderful memorable times and events with the Bryant family i.e. Brother and Joyce's baptism, births, weddings, assemblies and conventions, lots of delicious meals and heartfelt spiritual conversations.

When I traveled to Austin for work ... the Bryant home was often my "home base". I'd join their family for worship at their home and at the public meetings.

The week Brother went to the hospital I spoke with him over the phone. His words of comfort to me were, "We have to be patient Doloris ...  Jehovah has everything under control. We just have to be patient and wait."

My memory of Brother is one of about a decade ago. I was visiting Massachusetts and meeting members of my family for the first time in my adult life.  It was a positive experience but initially my emotions were all over the place . The first night there I saw Brother and immediately felt a sense of comfort and a touch of " home". I hadn't seen him in over 20 years and it was such a unexpected surprise as neither of us knew that the other one would be there.

Brother was a dear friend to both of my parents at a time in their lives when they were young, hopeful and free spirited. It was such a blessing that two found the Truth and our families have been close every since.

Recently during his stay at the hospital, I was so thankful that all could be "reunited " in a sense. What a beautiful brother, father, husband and  friend he was to many.  We are praying for the family and can't wait to see Brother again .

Our hearts are with your Family at this time. Our "love" for our Dear Bro.James, will never cease . The Holmes Family!

To our dear friends, you all are in our thoughts and prayers. We share our condolences for the loss of our dear brother. May Jehovah continue to wrap his arms around you all.

The Vargas Family

Even though I haven't been in the congregation very long, I had always been greeted by James with a warm smile and a genuine hug. He was such a loving brother and he always showed it.

The Bryant family emulates his warmth and sincerity.  I wouldn't doubt that in large part it's because of his example.

I know that all of us will miss his reflection of Jehovah's love. But for now, he is asleep in peace. He has fought the fine fight and died in Jehovah's favor. He will come back ready to learn what he has missed.

Paradise will allow James to plant to his hearts content and be with his biological and spiritual family.

How happy all will be on that day. All to Jehovah's praise.

❣️

Praying for the family to find peace, comfort and understanding through this difficult transition.

Dearest Bryant Family,

We love all of you so much.  We are so sorry for everything that has happened for your dearest family.  We have only good memories from Brother Bryant.  He helped us get rid of a big snake that was in our yard once and that was no easy task!  He also visited us at just the right time and advised us to take salt immediately when James Fenton was having muscle spasms from working outside for some time.  He has always been a grandpa and dad to us and all the friends.  It’s always encouraging to see how much he loved his family, at least three generations in our congregation, all serving Jehovah faithfully.  You could always tell that his family was his pride and joy, and for good reason.  I also remember brother Bryant driving in his vintage truck and training Asia how to learn to drive.  And we can’t forget the beautiful memory for brother Bryant being at Tori’s dedication.  No doubt one of his dearest memories.  It was always beautiful to see how much he loved all of his grandchildren and family and it’s very encouraging for us to continue to see all of them faithfully serving Jehovah despite all.  All of our love and prayers for you all to endure faithfully until the time when Jehovah brings back our loved ones.  We love you Sister Bryant.  Jehovah continue to bless your persevering way.  It is an inspiration for us.  All our love for you and the family for all time. 💘

Fentons 💘💘💘💘💘

I remember James Bryant has a happy family man who loved Jehovah. He always walked with a pep in his step, proud and confident. The Smith Family sends our condolences.  For Br. Bryant, it's  just a short nap to Paradise. Revelation 21:3-5.
I worked with James cleaning new apartments. Every day before we started we did the daily text & a prayer before we started work. James loved to laugh & laugh we did I was close to the whole family when the girls were young
Brother Bryant was so kind, when he spoke it was with words of wisdom and understanding. I thank Jehovah for the promise of his resurrection soon. Love you, Joyce and family ❤️
Bryant Family: May Jehovah continue to comfort you in your time of need.  Job 14:15/"You will call, and I will answer you. You will long for the work of your hands."  James, a true friend and Elder caring for our spiritual family. He will be greatly missed.                                                                                                      Brother and Sister Barrera
We can’t wait to see you in the resurrection in the near future.            John 5:29

We will deeply miss James, aka Pops.  Some of our lasting memories are him sweeping the Kingdom Hall parking lot for our wedding.  And going out fishing but not really catching anything… but it didn’t matter.  Of course his legendary cooking!  Corn dogs and breakfast tacos were amazing.  Whole racks of smoked chicken.  He was a true friend and like family to us.  And our hearts go out to your family at this most difficult time.

Rest in peace for a little while, brother.

We love you all!
