James "Jim, Jamie" Vincent Dery, born on September 27, 1959, passed away on April 22, 2023. A funny, hard-working, and giving man, James left a lasting impact on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be remembered for his love for his children and the strength he displayed in making them his priority and greatest accomplishment.

James had many interests and hobbies, including a passion for sports. He was an avid fan of the Detroit Lions, showing unwavering support over the years. He loved to work and had his own HVAC business called Deryaire (he was especially proud of that name!). He also enjoyed escaping to Florida, one of his favorite vacation spots, to relax and unwind with his family and beloved daughter Caitlyn.

He is survived by his children: Philip (Brittany) Dery, Christopher Dery, Ashley (Marc) Renaud, Angela (Patrick) Walmsley, Alyssa (Matthew) Pauls, Caitlyn Dery, and several brothers and sisters. His loving legacy will be carried on through them, ensuring that his memory lives on in their hearts and in the lives they continue to build.

James was predeceased by his father, Edwin Dery, his mother, Veronica Dery, and his step-mother, Alicia Dery. Though they were no longer with him, he held their memory dearly and carried their lessons and guidance with him throughout his life.

James will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his memory will be cherished by his family and friends. May they find comfort in the love and laughter he brought to their lives and the invaluable lessons he taught them over the years. Rest in peace, James, knowing that your legacy will live on in the hearts and lives of those who love you most.
