He was born in Smyrna, GA, December 6, 1950, to Daniel and Mary Walker. James attended Marietta Cobb Vocational School for Electronics in 1971.

James enlisted in the Army in November 1971 as a Radio Relay and Carrier Attendant and Radio Mechanic for the 26th Signal Battalion. He was stationed at the USA Transfer Station in Fort Jackson, …
